This Merc was on display at last weekend’s fabulous Lonestar Round Up car show. Good looking, very low mileage (58k) original car, pretty rare at only 7565 made. Strong 260 cu. in. V8 and Merc-o-Matic, in Sultana White, purchased in Brenham, TX, on June 26, 1963, by a Mr. Lawrence John Gell from a salesman named Mr. Carl Kingsbery. (I wonder what these fellows were like. I cut off the Ford dealership name when I took the pic.) Antonio told me that the car has been repainted but this is a solid car with no rust and the interior is original and in good shape except for a door panel that needs rewrapping. In 2007, about $2700 work was done on fuel and brake lines, etc.
This very desirable S Class model ran from 1965 to 1971. This one has a 2.5 liter SOHC straight and a manual gearbox, working to propel a rather light 3250 lbs.
