Caught this sparkling Volkswagen Notchback Type 3 Sedan in Berlin recently. Lovely car, great color and condition. More familiar with the Squareback wagon, but these were available from 1961 to 1965. Type 1 is the Beetle and Type 2 is the van.
At J. Colunga’s Body and Paint shop, 2900 E. Cesar Chavez, at Pleasant Valley. John said it was a fake cop car. Could be a ’47 or ’48.
Older cars are banned from the city center during work days but on the weekend they invade the city. I was not really prepared and was unable to be in position to photograph most of the interesting cars that zoomed by me. It was kind of comical, as I would give up waiting for one to appear, then one would sneak by. It happened a bunch of times but I was, at least, able to get a long shot of this dream car. Ferrari made 800 of these sleek, v12 powered Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 (Grand Tourismo) cars between 1968 and 1971. (Note the line of cannon behind the car, at the front of the Hôtel des Invalides.)
Found this gem approximately at Burnet and 183. Appears to have a suitcase, a metal toolbox and a latern. Can’t make out the other item.
