I found this 1952 Pontiac west of Ft. Worth on a recent excursion. I asked my companion, Woody, what engine he thought the car had — the original flathead straight six or eight? After his investigation, he wasn’t really sure (he can’t read).
Just east of Abilene, Texas, I was surprised to find quite a few collector cars in fields, carports and driveways in the small town of Graham.. Seems to be a car hot-spot.
Last week, I took a short car trip from Central Texas to Abilene (why there? The song, of course). Found this complete 1946 Chevrolet in a small field of about twenty old cars, trucks and heavy equipment.
