Jewel-like engineering with a 3 valve per cylinder, 2.0 liter overhead cam straight-8 engine. Could rev to 6000 RPM, 95 HP.
One of my favorite cars at the vintage races at COTA last year. 4.5 liter straight six.

Wheelbase: 106″. Allard’s 1952 New York Automobile Show display car.”

The split front axle (swing axles) were tricky. I asked the owner about its handling and he allowed it could be terrifying. Very impressive car.
Very expensive, important car. V12, 4.5 liter powerplant in these cars took third and fourth place finishes at 1939 Le Mans.
