Two sparkling Studebakers at the Long Center at Lady Bird Lake, a 1952 Studebaker Commander Coupe and a 1951 Studebaker Business Coupe. This dazzling Motostalgia auction was presented by Motoreum, linked at right.
The Land Cruiser was the top of the line, sporting a new, modern, 232 cu. in. OHV V-8 with 120 horsepower turning a new three speed Automatic Drive transmission. They sold well at $2289.
Spotted this rare car on my way to Manor, the Avanti IIs were built by ex-Studebaker dealers after Studebaker’s demise. Has a Chevy 350 cu. in. V8 and ran several months ago. Owner wants about $9000. The last photo is a four door Avanti built in 1991, found on the internet.
