Spotted this 1955 Pontiac Sedan inside a building getting service. 1955 was Pontiac’s first year offer a modern OHV V8, at 287 cu in, replacing the straight eight. Bought in Merkel, Texas (200 miles west of Dallas) from Palmer Pontiac and GMC. Nolan Palmer is pictured in front of his dealership in the early 1960s.
I’ve seen this car a the last two Round Ups, cannot find the other pics I took of it. I’ve never seen this kind of body work on any other car. Really a stunning car. 
This fabulous Pontiac belongs to the owner of Flamingo Automotive housed in a pink 1938 gas service station on Guadalupe St. north of UT. They service German and Japanese cars.
Just off Parker Lane, the second year of the Firebird, engine options were an interesting OHC 250 cu. in. straight six, or a pick of Pontiac V8s, either 350 or 400 cu. in. The 350 V8 in this car would give 265 hp, or 320 hp with the H.O. option.
