The CB350 was introduced in 1968 and became Honda’s best seller through 1973. 36 HP running through a 5 speed transmission, capable of more than 100 mph. Leah lives down my street, I see her sometimes zipping by. UPDATE: This vintage Honda CB350 is for sale through Horsepower Farm, link at right.
Impressive engine but seems a bit unweildy. 103 hp and 600 lbs., ran a 11.66 sec. 1/4 mile. More data here. This Honda CB500 model was made from 1972 to 1974, with 48 HP.
Introduced in 1969, this was a seminal motorcycle, drawing the curtain on the British era, also called the Universal Japanese Motorcycle, or UJM, setting a new standard in power, reliability, convenience and sophistication.
