Dave’s Perfection Automotive at 1804 S 1st St, Austin, 78704, (512-444-5919) has provided the highest quality work on vintage, custom and newer cars for decades. Dave passed on, but his shop is continuing its service to Austin’s finest special interest cars, now owned and run by legendary Continental Club’s owner Steve Werthheimer. Steve is a leader in the Austin car scene, having starting the 12th annual Lone Star Round Up (the world’s best hot rod show will be April 5, & 6), and the Kontinentals car club.

Vintage Japanese Bikes at Limey Bikes in N. Central Austin

Met Chris and Elija yesterday at Chris’ shop, Limey Bikes at 900 W. Old Koenig (Lamar and Koenig Ln.). Chris cut his teeth on his native British motorcycles but discovered the charms of vintage, pre-1980, Japanese motorcycles, which is his specialty. Chris and Elija were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Chris built the great looking race bike pictured with a Yamaha 650 – Chris really appreciates the superior qualities of this engine. This is the place to go with your vintage Japanese motorcycle. Check out some of the other bikes The Limey has built.
