Snapped this pic at last year’s vintage races here in Austin. Don’t miss this weekend’s vintage races at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas. Not crowded, full access to pits and park at the track.
The interior identifies this as a C5 (fifth generation) Corvette, built from 1996 to 2004. Styled as a 1962 Corvette. Nice ride. At Motoreum, linked at right.

My opinion of these cars has changed, especially the chrome bumper early models ending in ’72. This one has the right wheels and tires making it just right. The big engine is stifled by ’70s smog and regular fuel limitations that dramatically reduced power for most manufacturers, but nothing a little hot rodding couldn’t fix.
