Posing on S. Congress Ave. at last April’s Lonestar Round Up.  Urged forward by a 263 cu. in. straight 8 Fireball engine though a two-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission which runs only one speed with torque converter unless the other gear is manually selected.  Ionia Body Company supplied the wood and steel bodies from 1949 through 1953.  The new OHV V8 debuted the next year.
