Cute car made by BMW from 1959 to 1965, rear boxer 697 cu. in. engine modified from the BMW motorcycle. Was sucessfully raced. More wiki info.

Owner said he had just finished a year-long restoration. Built by Karmann, these BMWs were among the best GT cars of the time while accomplishing significant racing successes, powered by the the classic BMW straight six, one of the greatest engines of our era.

Weird history: this pretty little car was originally sold by Glas of Germany but it seems that BMW dropped its engine in it and added independent rear suspension (and kidney grill) and sold it as a BMW. Owned by Terry Sather who maintains my BMW.
