Ariel Square Four at Revival Cycles in East Austin

Written by Ken Altes

One of the most charismatic motorcycles of all time: the Ariel Square Four with about 1000cc, cylinders arranged in a square.  British-made from the 30s into the late 50s.  I drop into Revival Cycles as often as I can to see the many remarkable motorcycles, plus the staff is friendly and very talented.  See link at right.

Ariel Square Four:  Four cylinders in a square, had heating problems but technically perhaps unique, this motorcycle engine has long fascinated me.
