Sold last year at Austin’s Mecum auction for $32,000, it’s had a rotisserie restoration with a small block crate engine, auto transmission and custom Foose wheels. Dave’s Perfection Automotive is a venerable classic and custom car garage on S. 1st St., now owned by Steve Wertheimer, owner of the Continental Club on S. Congress Ave, and co-instigator of the annual custom car show, the Lonestar Round Up, the highlight of my car year. Contact info at right under “Specialty Garages.”
