The Dolphin Engineering Company was established in 1958 in San Diego by an aerospace industry craftsman, and an English race car designer. They made a handful of these Americas, most powered by four cylinder 750cc or 1100cc Coventry
The owner told me that the interior was from a 1964 Ford Galaxie. Part of the Lonestar Round Up festivities on the Avenue.
Could have a 390-cubic-inch V8 with 315 hp, or a 428-cubic-inch V-8 with 345 hp. Heavy and softly sprung. A true boulevardier.
