This handsome first generation Chevrolet Corvette looks stock except for the power bulge on the hood. 
A little fancier than it’s stablemate Road Runner, the 440 cu in Magnum V8 and TorqueFlight auto were standard.
Intriguing 1964 Mercury Comet A/FX Caliente factory drag class car with the 427 cu.in./425 hp V-8 — At least, that’s my best guess.
The FX stood for Factory Experimental, a class which allowed manufacturers to fit the largest engine available and alter the body of a production car. The letter A refers to the engine size; there were also B/FX and C/FX classes.
To me, this 1964 GTO is the first muscle car, although there were many others before that could be called that. Has 389 cu. in. V8 with 325 h.p.
