1960 Chevrolet Impala in Austin, Texas

I love the low sweep of the rear fins and rear fender skirts on this 1960 Chevrolet Impala “Sport Coupe” in the parking area for Austin’s Lonestar Round Up Custom Car Show. Is there space for even one more adornment?

Hemi-Powered 1967/9 Plymouth Barracuda

I was thrilled to find this amazingly desirable Hemi ‘Cuda behind a mechanic’s garage in S. Austin.  I don’t think many were manufactured but it would have had the 426 cu in hemispherical head V8 that produces prodigious power at high revs.  Love the wheels, the driving lights, the scoop and color.  I’m all in!

Very Nice C3 Corvette convertible in S. Austin

1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray off Hwy 290.  This C3 (third generation) series ran from 1968–1982.  These chrome bumpers indicate a pre-73 model, the best looking years in my opinion.  The wire wheels are a bonus.

Based on the XP-755 concept car, or the Mako Shark II, it was designed by Larry Shinoda in Bill Mitchell’s GM design shop, debuted at the 1965 New York and Paris auto shows, and powered by a 427 cu in Mark IV engine.
