Caught this elegant French Citroen Traction Avant just outside the grounds of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Italy. Ever innovative Citroen gave the Traction Avant, made from 1934 to 1957, three engineering advancements new to mass production: front-wheel drive, unitary body without separate frame, and four-wheel independent suspension. The big trunk identifies this one as no older than 1952.Citroen Traction Avant - Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, atxcarpics.com Citroen Traction Avant at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, atxcarpics.com detail Citroen Traction Avant at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, atxcarpics.com rear Citroen Traction Avant at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, atxcarpics.com
