This is a very significant car, Lotus’ first rear engined car, with “wobbly wheels” designed to save weight, as Lotus founder Colin Chapman preached, to “Simplify, then add lightness“.  A Lotus 18 won Lotus’ first Formula One victory in 1960.  Legendary drivers Stirling Moss and Innes Ireland found success in a Lotus 18. This 1960 Lotus 18 race car is owned and raced by Bruce Revennaugh.
