Is there a more iconic car? This 1954ish Mercedes 300SL Gullwing has very low mileage but no driveshaft.  Based on the very successful 1952 W194 race car,  it was the first car with direct fuel injection, its 3 liter straight six powered it to 161 mph.  Tubular frame for light weight, and eyebrows over the wheel openings to reduce drag.  Four wheel independent suspension but rear swing axles could make handling tricky.  Lent to dealership by a friend (sadly, not a friend of mine).  Couldn’t get anyone to lift a door for me.  In my top ten most desirable cars of all time.  Worth a million minimum, lots more if it’s all aluminum.
