Custom 1957 Ford Ranchero in Liberty Hill

Written by Ken Altes

1957 was the first year for the Ranchero.  The side trim for this mild custom I found in Liberty Hill, Texas (just outside of Austin) is from a 1958 Ranchero.  It has a slightly greater load capacity than the F-100 half ton pickup.  Love the spider web image painted on the hood. 1. It’s ok but the 57 500trim is better suited for this body style. One of my top 50 Ford Mtr Co fav’s.

  2. I have a ’57 that I swapped a 58 Edsel front cap on. Custom graphics with a warmed up 390 engine and 5 spd trans. Been in the shop for 3+ years. Supposed to pick it up in 10 days . Cannot wait for the show season !
