I’ll almost always stop for a nifty 1956 Chevrolet 210 2-door sedan like this one as I passed through Vernal, Utah. Love the mags, two-tone paint and stance.
I caught this sweet, and slightly tattered, 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 at Lady Bird Lake in Central Austin. It has the Ram Air option with functional hood scoops, higher flow heads with stronger valve springs, and a hotter camshaft, turning out 335 hp. The 400 cu in V8 is an enlarged 389 ci in V8 used in earlier Ponchos. Pretty quick at 0-60 mph at 5.5 seconds, reaching the 1/4 mile, in 14.2 seconds at 100 mph.
Near perfect, impressive car at Murphos Rod & Custom. Had either a four speed Hydramatic from GM, or three speed manual. Big 337 cu. in. flathead V8. More info on wikipedia.
I found this handsome 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-Door sedan at Gateway Classic Cars near the DFW airport. The ‘210’ model designation comes from shortening the production series number 2100 by one digit.
