Unless I’m mistake (could be!) this is the 1978 Cad Eldo convertible I bought at a Kerrville estate sale in 1998 and sold in 1999 to a fellow from Round Mountain area. Yes, 1978. Cadillac stopped building the Eldo convert in ’76 but a company in Ohio got permission to take ’77 and ’78 Eldo coupes which GM continued to build on the more rigid convertible frame and convert them using convert. top assemblies available through service parts dept. I spoke with the owner of that company (I’d have to research the name) and he claimed something like a couple dozen were built but only ONE in lipstick red for the owner of a small railroad corporation in California. He felt this had to be the car. Interesting to note the car hasn’t moved much over the last decade and a half.
