Dave’s Perfection Automotive (info at right on this page) has a steady stream of wonderful cars. This 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk just got a new interior and is a very handsome car. It’s the last iteration of the classic and lovely Loewy 1953 Studebaker Starlight/Starliner coupe. This car has a Studebaker 289 cu. in. V8 and the Flight-O-Matic automatic transmission.

Researching this car, I learned that the 1962’s seat coverings deteriorated very quickly, giving the car a bit of a bad reputation for that. This car’s interior took a while to get replaced.
