This is a particularly excellent original example. This body ran from 1949, the first fully new postwar car from Detroit and are called “shoeboxes.” This is the nicest original one I’ve seen.  Cannot tell if the center of the front grille says “6” or “8”, denoting whether it has the flathead straight six or the venerable flathead V8.  See link at right for Murphos.
