Rare 1933 Pontiac Hot Rod at Murphos, For Sale
This 1933 Pontiac hot rod has been for sale. The seller says that only about seven of these still exist, and that Bonnie and Clyde famously stole one. Very complete hot rod, found it being cared for at Murphos in south Austin, one of my favorite shops. The do first-rate builds and modifications and have won national awards (they also have cool clothes thanks to Liana).
Here are details from the Hemmings advert: Modified original frame, “Fast Boy” front end, power disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, coil over adjustable shocks. Built GM 350 TPI bored .30 over w/competition heads, hot cam, balanced & blue printed making 425 hp. Modified 700 R4 automatic w/overdrive, GM 4:11 Positrac, 4 leaf springs & air shocks. Power steering, A/C, tilt wheel, Radio & CD w/ipod control. $35,000 obo. What’s not to like about that? Plus rare and handsome.
