On My Travels: Vintage Red Chinese Military Motorcycle in Amsterdam

Written by Ken Altes

As a part of my 2016 Worldwide Apology Tour, I traveled to Amsterdam, Austin’s wet dream. Immediately upon arrival, I was overtaken by hordes of self-satisfied people going every-which-way on bicycles, smoking pot and unapologetically living a libidinous lifestyle. (It has it’s merits although I like my sins leavened with a dash of guilt.) Should I have been surprised to discover this vintage Chinese military motorcycle and sidecar? I guess it’s a clone of a BMW.Vintage Chinese Military Motorcycle and sidecar in Amsterdam, Netherlands 4Vintage Chinese Military Motorcycle and sidecar in Amsterdam, Netherlands. data plateVintage Chinese Military Motorcycle and sidecar in Amsterdam, Netherlands, data plateVintage Chinese Military Motorcycle and sidecar in Amsterdam, Netherlands chinese textVintage Chinese Military Motorcycle and sidecar in Amsterdam, Netherlands instrumentVintage Chinese Military Motorcycle and sidecar in Amsterdam, NetherlandsVintage Chinese Military Motorcycle and sidecar in Amsterdam, Netherlands 1Vintage Chinese Military Motorcycle and sidecar in Amsterdam, Netherlands 3

  1. This is in deed a Clone of BMW.
The Original Construction is a BMW R71. The first Serial of Replica was build in Russia.
The Second in China. The first I have seen this was in formaly East-Berlin in 1977.

    In a German Magazine (“Motorrad” 2022-04-01) is a Picture in. More rusty…. (Why ? I dont’t know…)
An the Windschield is not longer on.

The Owner’s Mind ist probably no longer set on this Vehicle… (If ist is works….. or it ist Like the Motorcycle…)
